Thesis Statement: In our era, wars/ security threats can disturb international peace faster than ever before. Proxy or Trade wars might be the result of our globalized and interconnected societies, affecting all spheres of life.
Argument 1: The increased interdependency results in countries being at a greater risk to get involved into a conflict/security threat
In future conflicts, new weapons will be used, including cyber weapons, military space systems that allow for accurate global strikes, as well as non-nuclear missile defense systems. Many argue about the further proliferation of nuclear weapons and doubt that a global nuclear deterrence system will be developed.
Analysts in India are worried about the "expansion of common territories", which includes cyberspace, outer space, as well as the oceans. Our African colleagues are concerned about climate change, which will cause new social and economic upheavals that could lead to civil conflict.
